The MM experiment did not prove or disprove the existence of aether. So, if you have two solutions, Psi 1 and Psi 2, then a 1 Psi 1 plus A2 Psi 2 is a solution. The frequency of the system remains unchanged. Bohm showed one way a more complete theory can be constructed. One result of wave-particle duality is a limit on the precision of measurements.
