Susan Cabot starred as The Wasp Woman in her final film, but she also acted in westerns, dramas, and a string of Roger Corman films. He loved reading the history of South American and ancient Europe as well as the novels of Joseph Conrad. In this film, Naughton references an earlier werewolf film, and it's not the Oliver Reed version made by Hammer. I would cast Sophia Bush as Eve, firstly because all her characters seem strong and confident, and secondly because her voice, it’s raspy perfection for an action heroine.

A leading figure of the “Celtic Twilight” movement which flourished in artistic circles during the fin-de-siècle, few writers evoked the mystery and romance of Goidelic culture as powerfully as Fiona MacLeod (pen-name of the Scottish author, William Sharp). This was an excellent folk horror film that really deserves more exposure! When pretty blonde Harriet joins them, the men are torn between wanting her to stay and claiming her as another victim.
